I met Saad at the local pizza shop Momo's. Saad is 25 years old, from Saudi Arabia, and is studying business administration. I learned a lot about our cultural differences. In Saudi Arabia, most families have 10-20 children. Also it is common for a man to have a 2-4 wives. Something I found interesting is that during prayer time, all the shops close down. Even stores like McDonalds or Starbucks will close down 5 times a day, for 45 minutes, so that the employees can go to the mosque and pray. Saad showed me pictures of how the people in Saudi Arabia dress. The men wear cloth over their heads, and long, floor length dresses. The women often wear a burka or a head and neck covering. I also learned about how Saudi Arabia is a monarchy, and the king can do anything he likes. The royal family is very large and very rich.
