I met with Do-jun again finally! We hadn't been able to find a time both of us were free and I hadn't talked to him in two weeks since right before he had visited Japan. I like to spend my time with Do-jun listening more than speaking because I really want to understand his point of view and more about the culture. I asked him about his trip to Japan and it was interesting. He recommended I visit when I move to South Korea. He took his mother to Japan and then realized it was her birthday. We laughed and agreed that taking her to Japan is a good birthday present. He mentioned that in a highly rated restaurant, there were only South Koreans in it even though it was in Japan. He said it was because South Koreans have access to fast technology. I now wonder if Japan doesn't and if that restaurant is targeted towards tourists. I asked about some things that interest me; nature and architecture mainly. Do-jun said that temples are beautiful and accessible all over asia. He also said that the Japanese apartments and houses look European now, instead of Japanese and I became curious as to what Japanese apartments look like. We segued into talking about South Korean nature and architecture and he let me know there are mountains everywhere that aren't very high. I joked that that made me happy because then I could climb them.
