I met my conversation partner Rashed for the first time at the Starbucks on Tennessee street. Rashed is an 18 year old student from Kuwait. We talked about our individual families and the cultural difference of our particular family dynamics. Rashed comes from a family of 20 siblings! This was so shocking to me. I personally could not imagine having to name each one. I wonder if you run out of good names. I also wonder if you have some children that you do not have time to get to know. I did not ask Rashed this. Rashed has an older brother in Jacksonville, which comforts me because he is so far from home and only 18 years old! Rashed told me about the camels in Kuwait. They have camel races and almost every family has one. I am so fascinated by the camel stories. He thinks this fascination is stupid; I am noticing Arab students are not impressed with camels. After Rashed is done with his English studies, he is going to study chemical engineering.
