Juliette CP#5

      I met my new conversation partner Kreem at his apartment complex in the study rooms. Kreem is an 18 year old student from Kuwait. After he studies English, he is going to study chemical engineering. I have noticed that this is a popular major for students from Kuwait. I asked Kreem about it and he says its because of all of the oil in Kuwait. The chemical engineering profession in Kuwait is very lucrative. Kreem is a very eager learner, I think I am going to suggest that we turn our conversation partner sessions into tutoring sessions. Kreem is in level one and so I have to speak very slowly. He often wants me to repeat myself and practice pronunciation. He is working on his fluency. His goal is to pass the TOEFL by August.
      We also discussed our cultural differences. Kreem comes from a family of 10 siblings! He also showed me pictures of his camels. His dad and uncle have a lot of them!
