Khaled and I met during lunch to converse, and he again asked me to correct his speaking errors. I made sure to speak slower, as I have a habit of speaking fast. He said he is going to Tampa to take the IELTS this weekend, so I hope everything goes well with that. After the test, he and his friends will spend the day there, so I suggested he visit the Florida Aquarium, because I went there once and saw all kinds of aquatic life. He in turn, suggested I visit Tom Brown Park, as he went over the weekend, and really enjoyed walking around.
His speaking mistakes were minor, most of it slip ups that he corrected himself. He said that recently, he has been doing well with more difficult grammar concepts, but the simple rules he forgets. I told him it's common to plateau for awhile, but that means he has improved since his early days. He seems very determined to master English, and I am motivated to be a better tutor.
