Shani TS #4

Today was my fourth tutoring session with Susan. I can already hear some improvements in her speaking and I can tell that she has gotten better at understanding me when I speak to her. Today we worked on Susan's composition skills. She wrote an essay for class on whether she prefers to eat at home or in a restaurant. When read it the first time, I commented on her main ideas and the fluency of her essay. I pointed out areas that she needed to clarify. Then, after she re-wrote it, I marked where she made grammar mistakes and asked her to try and correct herself. She ended up being able to correct some of her paper without any direction from me, but there were some errors which she didn't know how to correct. I helped her with those corrections and made sure to explain the reasoning behind it.
