Trisha CP #6

I met with Do-jun this morning for our last required session. It was comfortable and I felt very appreciative of what he's taught me throughout the semester. We talked about things to do for fun in South Korea and different types of comedy. Apparently comedy clubs don't really exist in South Korea, but a lot of Western style clubs do. I found it very interesting to learn that there is a different type of club called a night club. Do-jun explained a night club to have tables surrounding an area where you can dance (i think). But the tables are exclusively for men. The men had to have purchased at least three or four beers before they can sit at the table, and it is custom they tip the waiters well. The waiters serve them drinks and food if they order it, and ask the man what type of woman he is looking for. The waiters then try to find a girl suitable for the man's taste and brings her over. Being a feminist, this made me angry, but I listened and absorbed it rather than expressing my distaste. I would not like this type of club, but I may go to one just to have the experience, and to see what it is really like. I let Do-jun know that this was my last required session, but that I'd still like to keep in touch. He was very humble and thanked me, and I did the same. We agreed to email in the future to find convenient times to Skype!
