Achman and I met for the first time in the CIES building lounge on February 1^st. I asked him introductory questions about his experience here and how long has been going to FSU. He has only been here since September, but, somehow, his speaking English is incredible. He talked about Pakistan and his family, and how much he missed them. In an attempt to make him feel more at home, I suggested some Mediterranean restaurants that I have visited while here, but I did warn him they were not as authentic as he may want them. I also suggested that for our next conversation that we check one of these places out for him to try. Just to get an idea of where his English was at, I asked him what level he was in all of his classes (3A) and if he was trying to take the TOEFL.
