Since I did not have a child tutee, I needed 3 adult tutees.
I met Mohammad on February 19th at the CIES building. I asked him
what he wanted help with in general. He was hoping I could correct him on the errors
he makes when he talks and that he need help in general. I took notes of various
mistakes he made throughout on conversation to see if there was anything he was
specifically struggling with. We talked about random things that came up just
to get to know each other. I was concerned throughout because sometimes it
appeared he didn’t understand something but didn’t want to ask for me to explain
it. So, I made it a habit to ask him if he understood. He mentioned that he wanted
his tutoring sessions to be as fun as possible, so I told him that for our
first lesson I will try to make it as fun as possible.
