Shani CP #4

I met with Luis today for the first time! We met at Starbucks, and he brought his girlfriend along with him. They're both super sweet! Maricarmen, his girlfriend, goes to FSU for Engineering and is also from Panama. Luis told me about how they met and why he decided to move to Tallahassee to learn English. He is at a beginner level of English, so the conversation we had was somewhat limited. We talked about movies and what he likes to do in his spare time. He recently went to the Tallahassee museum, which he said he enjoyed. He also told me about the different places he's traveled to, which includes Israel. I told him that I was born there, so we bonded over that. I also discovered that Luis is Jewish! I told him about different organizations on campus because he was interested in Jewish life at FSU. We made plans to go to Shabbat at Hillel together as our next meeting.
