Shani CP #5

Luis and I met at Hillel for Shabbat. After the service, we stayed for dinner and talked. He told me about his week and his plans for next week. I told him that there's a Women's Stand Up Comedy Night at Club Downunder and invited him to come with me and my friends. He agreed, so right after we finished our dinner we went to the show. He really enjoyed it! There were a lot of jokes that he didn't understand but I tried to explain them to him as best as I could. We also ran into another Spanish speaking CIES student, Armando, and he sat with us as well. Since Armando was at a higher level of English speaking, he was even able to explain some of the jokes to Luis in Spanish. It was a really fun night and I think Luis had a great time while also experiencing FSU and American culture!
