Shani TS #11

Today, Susan asked me to help her order a grammar textbook so that she could study more on her own. We looked up her teacher's recommendation and I walked her through the steps of ordering it online. I thought that today we could have more of a fun lesson, so I decided that I would introduce her to the show New Girl. The episodes are around 25 minutes long and it is full of common phrases and slang which would be useful for Susan to know. We watched the first episode, and after every scene I paused the show to check that she understood what was going on. She also asked me questions whenever she didn't understand something that one of the characters said. Along with leaning new words and phrases, Susan was able to practice her listening skills. I think that Susan really enjoyed the show and that it was a fun way for her to expand her vocabulary.
