I met with Susan again! She thinks she did well on her grammar quiz today, which makes me really happy because we worked a lot on grammar the last time we met. Today we went over one of her old quizzes and made corrections. I let her explain what she thinks the correct answer is before going over it with her. Usually her second choice was the correct answer. We also went over verb tenses today, specifically the present perfect tense. We talked about when to use the present perfect tense and I gave her plenty of example sentences. She has a brochure due for one of her classes, for which she had to write about three different places in Tallahassee. She asked me about different places in Tallahassee that she can visit and then mention in her brochure. I told her about my favorite places in the area, and we made a plan to go over her work during our next tutoring session.
