On Monday 3/5 I met with Mohammed to catch up on his trip to San Diego and his experience with the IELTS exam. I was a little bit disheartened to hear that he did not do well on the Speaking part of the exam. He told me he did not understand the question, so I got him to tell me what the task was and we went over it. From what I understand, the facilitator of the exam asked about previous job and work history. Mohammed did not understand what he was asking for so I think he got aggravated during the test. I sensed a little bit of this during our session but reassured him that the next time he will be more prepared. So we worked on this, I taught him what a resume is and how in America we typically keep them updated, and we brainstormed things that he could be able to put on his own.
