Trisha TS #16
Turki came in late today (I really have to get used to that, haha) for our tutoring session and we chatted for a while before we began the tutoring session. Even thought he meets with me to tutor, I don't really think he likes to. I felt bummed we hadn't grown close so far, but it's been a great teaching experience for me. I always let him choose what we do because he changes his mind very often and I want this tutoring experience to be a positive choice for him to make. He didn't seem to want to do anything and I kept asking him if he had some material or he would like to watch a Ted Talks and answer comprehension questions in written form down. He told me in the beginning he wants to work on his writing and reading so I try to incorporate at least one of those into each tutoring session. He ended up pulling out some work from his class and having me help him with it. He seems frustrated when I won't give him the answer, which I think can be somewhat funny because of course I wont, I'm his tutor! It was an overall good session.
